Menu has a great variety of starters. They have welcome drink shots as well. They prepare BBQ with special care to keep its softness alive. From the menu Malai Boti and paneer tikka are tasty. Also, try their specially made chops and daal makhni. Food items are always served hot.
The food menu at the restaurant is according to its hype. They serve two kinds of Kebabs. Taste of their Seekh kebab is usual, but the feeling of other kebab is special and unique. It is a must-try. Mughlai chicken handi is very creamy, and it tastes like a butter chicken. The chicken items are not hard; instead, they are well cooked and rich in flavor. They have Tandoori naan to serve hot with these items. They have two kids of bread, i.e., tandoori roti paratha and roghni naan.
It is the right spot for the foreigners to visit because its food items are not very much spicy and drenched in oil. The cuisine is more of a Mughlai type rather than typical Lahori. From the menu, their stand out items such as mint mutton chops, Lemon rice, butter chicken, coriander chicken karahi, Lentils (daal makhani), and beef seek kebab is recommended to tryouts.
They serve everything to indulge you in your party. Their paneer flavor is a bit sweet, and all type of beef kebab is served hot to patrons. Their portion size is not pretty huge but good enough for two persons. Visitors can take the remaining food to their homes to avoid wastage. They have great selection in deserts as well. The Gulab Jamun is dipped in the sheer, and it tastes yummy. The good thing is these are not too sweet.
During Ramadan, the scene is beautiful at the restaurant, i.e., the fresh air, the sound of azan from Badshahi mosque, and desi khana. In Iftar, my favorite thing was pakora and SEV PURI. They also have mint lassi, and a range of juices in the Iftar menu after the iftar dinner is served.
Atmosphere and Interior
The atmosphere of the place is full of heritage, tradition, and culture. This place has the edge of a unique environment and incredible views. A lot of travelers visit the spot to enjoy food and take pictures. A lift takes one to the top at the dining place.
You can also climb the staircase. There is a wall along with the stairs that have photos of their staff members. It adds a nice touch. These twisting staircases take one on a trip of history representing the old-time currencies of city, philately, and traditional artwork.
Ambiance is a traditional romantic and is something one should not miss when in Lahore. The spot has a fancy desi touch and almost near to the old city. Its location, ambiance, and environment give the feeling of Lahore Culture. The rooftop is also there to dine. The best view that you get on Food Street and by overlooking the view of the Badshahi mosque.
Andaaz is now the part of that retro revitalization in Lahore. It has restored century-old building into a grand dining experience with the views of culture and history. This Mosque is one of the centuries-old Mughal landmarks. Rooftop view gives the experience of the neighborhood. This rooftop spot has about three floors to climb up.
Staff and Service
The staff members are amiable and cooperative. They are fast in taking orders and serving the customers. One improvement area is their bathrooms dark and need to have more light.
The primary services of the restaurant include takeout, outdoor seating, reservations, private dining, parking available, seating, free off-street parking, street parking, validated parking, and highchairs. They also accept master card, visa, and credit cards. They also provide table service and live music entertainment.
Quality and Standards
This place has now become a top dining location that has specialization in Pakistani and local cuisine, having many modern twists and flavors. The price range for this restaurant is between 2,477 to 7,740 PKR. The place is expensive if compared to the price range of other restaurants, but it worth it. It is a perfect spot for local food if the prices are in your range.
Food has few modern twists as well, like sweet lassi, featuring honey and banana and butter chicken. The restaurant is perfect for taking friends and family for dinner. Be careful guys because they also have hiding prices. So check before you order. The quantity of some food items is a small portion.
